Overview
CrossFire restaurant front-of-the-house reservations software replaces your paper reservations book with the power of a computer. It's is easy to learn and use and it helps keep your dining room under control during rush hour. Use its customer database to make your customers feel extra special by remembering their special dates and personal preferences while also building your promotional mailing list. Meant for real-time use by your host or manager at your reception area or by the phone, it features:
- Table reservation entry
- Customer preferences and mailing list database
- Current table status
- Table utilization analysis
- Catering / special event reservations, menu and contract preparation.
- Employee timeclock and time and attendance tracking.
Reservations
CrossFire makes it as easy as possible to enter reservations and manage the flow of the dining room. It looks similar to the reservation book you are used to, but of course, it does what paper books can't:
- Go to any available reservation time. Add a time, select smoking, non-smoking, or lounge seating. Pick a table number or numbers, a server, and either seat the party immediately or have them wait.
- If there's a wait, keep a list of up to 20 waiting parties.
- See all remaining reservations for the day, add or delete a reservation or instantly switch to tomorrow's reservation book if someone decides they would rather come in tomorrow.
- Make a reservation for any date up to three years in the future.
- And you don't need to buy a $100 reservation book every year.
Customer Database
CrossFire includes customer tracking to help you promote and make customers feel special by remembering their preferences and important dates.
- Create customer files with names, addresses, phones, email addresses, table preferences, server preferences, two birthdays and an anniversary.
- Print a special occasion list and record whether or not you sent a card for your customer's birthday or anniversary. (A "buy one dinner, get one free" card on a special date is a great way to promote.) CrossFire alerts you if a customer comes in on one of their special days.
- Track how many times customers dine in your restaurant and how many people accompanied them. (This is useful if you compare a customer who has dined 12 times alone to the customer who dined only five times but always had six people in their party .)
Current Table Status and Utilization History
CrossFire lets you enter a seating plan of up to fifty tables so your host can graphically check the current occupancy and reservations status of your tables.
- Specify any combination of smoking, non-smoking or bar tables
- Change the plan any time you want (as long as nobody is sitting at the tables).
- See your table occupancy with a single mouse click. Determine at a glance which tables are occupied, how long each party has been sitting there (with color coding), the number of tables each server has, and the number of people at those tables.
- Use your servers more efficiently by assigning them so no one is over- or under worked. Assign your strongest servers the most tables, if you wish.
Special Events / Parties / Catered Events
Making reservations for and managing special events, parties or catered events couldn't be easier.
- Crossfire includes adult, child, buffet, beverage and dessert menus which you may customize to your exact requirements. All the arithmetic is done for you, so you won't need the calculator.
- Change tax and gratuity rates.
- Add special charges in any amount.
- When you are done, Crossfire prints contracts with your restaurant's name and other pertinent data.
- If you change a menu after a reservation has been made, the program remembers the original choices and prices and keeps them until the event is over.
Table Utilization History Analysis
CrossFire has the unique ability to track table usage for any time period. Just enter the start and end dates and hard data about the average in-seat time, number of tables and served are reported.
- Graph your table usage for any time range.
- New managers can review past seating and get immediate ideas of how to schedule and staff servers and kitchen personnel.
Time and Attendance
CrossFire includes a time and attendance module. Competing timeclock systems alone are about the price of the entire CrossFire system!
- Your reservations station computer can be used as a timeclock
- Instantly switch between the reservations module and the timeclock module.
- Employees sign in and out as many times a day as they need to.
- CrossFire calculates hours worked for any pay period.
